    Kore's Radio Interviews

    Fr: Op Nocturnal

    Hi Girls,

I was looking forward to hearing a LIVE interview with the three of you on Joy Rose's show, but you weren't there. It's been a while since any of you have done a radio or TV interview and this one was to be on a night that I actually had off. I do enjoy the fact that we live in an age where audio streaming from as far as New York can be heard right in our own homes, and if an interview is missed, nearly all stations now maintain an on-line archive where it can be heard at any time, so if you do make Joy's show I will hear it.

Looks like the next one will be on WSLR in Sarasota. Jax was solo for the last interview recorded there and sadly something went wrong during the recording and only the first 15 minutes of the show is available in the "Women Matters" archive. Hopefully, all 3 of you will be present for the next one because it's so much better when everyone's together. And yes, the hosts of these non-profit, grass roots, low-powered FM stations leave much to be desired, but they're not professional broadcasters; they are everyday people just doing the best they can to get the word out and all three of you need to be there to continue to get the word out on Kore.

    Rock On!

    Your Name: Susan
Your Message: We were there, but it turns out it was on tape delay, airing later this month.  We'll find out when.  Thanks for tuning in!

    Hi Girls,

"Women Matters" just posted the show on which you were featured. For some reason it recorded with more emphasis on the left channel, than the right, but again we're not dealing with professional broadcasters here. Still, the staff at WSLR appear dedicated in their programming efforts and Jane Blanchard's program was interesting. Also, Kore's featured songs were truncated, or "scoped," and I'm not sure if it was done for space considerations on their archive server or if policy is being enforced at WSLR to avoid the wrath of the RIAA (the same people who come after you for illegally downloading MP3 files). If your music is not published under ASCAP or BMI, and if you gave the station permission, they could have allowed the songs to play in their entirety on their site.

Not a bad interview and I especially enjoyed learning of the collaboration that takes place among you. It was good to know that Jax is still writing and now has an outlet for her words as the drummer in Kore. I recently commented on Traci's bass playing on "Just Go," but for some reason that post never appeared on this board. Still, it was interesting to learn that Traci already had the bass line in her head before the collaboration which led to such a great song. The jam that takes place between Traci's bass and Susan's lead at approximately 2 minutes and 15 seconds into the song is such a great listen as it comes off so well.

I hope that the three of you will continue to successfully collaborate on new songs and do so in harmony with one another. Creative conflicts create a very volatile situation among artists and it will destroy you, if you allow it to.

Keep writing, keep collaborating and you'll keep rockin'
