    Singers

    Your Name:
Your Message: I've attended a number of your performances and I think the band's great, but I've noticed that the drummer hardly ever sings and I'm wondering why? I've heard her voice as back-up and I like her voice. Why not have the drummer sing some lead?

That's weird. I've been to a couple shows and I have never heard the drummer sing! When did that happen?

    Re: Singers

Your Name:Your Message: I've heard the lovely Jax sing solo, as she played guitar in her office, and agree that she can sing. She just needs a song that fits her range. I've yet to see Kore LIVE, so I don't know if she sings backup or not. For a band consisting of just 3 women it does sound, at times, as if all three voices are present. Also, how does anyone sing while drumming? Ringo Starr, Don Henley and many, many others absolutely amaze me with their ability to do that.

    Re: Singers

Your Name: Op Nocturnal Your Message: Just did my homework (should have done that in the first place) and found Jax singing backup on "Just Go" in a video captured at Dave's Aqua Lounge. She's wearing one of those microphone headsets and can be clearly seen joining in on the hook of the song. I do find it odd that in other videos of Kore performing this song Jax is not miked-up in any way, so it's my guess that she just recently started to join Traci & Susan on the hook and her voice may not be heard on any of the recordings to date. No matter. If anything, Jax lets her drums do the talking & singing for her.

    Re: Singers

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Most of the time what you hear is Susan singing some great harmony to Traci's strong lead. But occasionally I do get carried away with the great energy and chime in...sometimes my mic even works! Thanks for noticing. Hard to hear myself sometimes, so glad to know I'm on pitch. I'm happy to be part of such a great band and like to do whatever I can to enhance our sound...not mutilate it, heehee.
As for the kind person who commented on hearing me sing in my office, very sweet... and probably way too generous. Yes, I admit I'm guilty of taking my guitar to work when I write and compose new songs. I typically try to stop before anyone comes in...or play at a level only dogs can hear, but sometimes I get caught up in the moment. I appreciate the generous compliment.
We appreciate all your comments and continued support. Hope you'll come out and see us at our next gig. Have a safe and happy holiday.

    Jax:
Your Message: Yes, she does. We're lucky to have the purple-haired beauty. You might say she's...trance producing, heehee. Thanks for your support. By the way, Susan rocks, too.
